Meet the entertainment makers at The Children’s Media Conference

The UK’s premier meeting place for professionals working in children’s media. Sponsors and delegates are from BBC Children’s, Disney, Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon, independent producers both national and international.  This edition (2023) is the 20th Anniversary.

As part of CMC children and families of Sheffield and the surrounding areas get to visit and try out several groundbreaking activities at Playground which is a digital and interactive exhibition on at Site Gallery during the conference. All for free. Funded by Arts Council England this annual exhibition is popular across the city.

The CMC also organises the UK Delegation to Kidscreen Summit in Miami, (a major marketplace for UK companies), with support from the Department of Business and Trade.

UK companies at the Kidscreen Summit produce a total of £40million in sales every year.

The CMC’s Editorial Director (Greg Childs) received an OBE in 2022 in recognition of his work in supporting children’s media and supporting UK exports in our work at the Kidscreen Summit.
